Traditional Chinese Kung Fu is becoming a more and more rare form of martial arts. Choy Lay Fut is a Southern form of Shoalin kung Fu and is known for its dynamic and beautiful forms. Choy Lay Fut students will also be exposed to many Chinese weapons like staff, broadsword, butterfly knives, and spear.
Kung Fu is an excellent form of exercise and will help you achieve your weight loss, strength and flexibility goals.

Isshinryu is one the most popular forms of karate across the globe. There is a particularly rich Isshinryu tradition in the Pacific Northwest. Gig Harbor is no exception – Isshinryu training is available for ages 6 to adult.
Okinawan karate has a reputation for powerful straight punching and kicking and economical footwork. Isshinryu students will learn karate style sparring and traditional weapons like nunchaku (“numchucks”), tonfa, sai, staff and kama.

Arnis is probably the least know form of martial arts in America, but is growing rapidly. Other forms of Arnis are Escrima, and Kali.
Julian is currently a brown level student in Arnis and plans to achieve his black belt by late 2006 or early 2007. Combat Arnis is a Phillipine fighting style based on 28’’ fighting sticks. See the Combat Arnis page for more details.
